AirWave awarded as the best contract furniture at “Grands Prix du Design”

Another important recognition for “AirWave” by Altek Italia Design, awarded as best “contract and institutional furniture” during the Gala evening of the prestigious “Grands Prix du Design Awards” in Montreal, last 10th January.

The collection, designed by Charles Godbout_Topo Design, is an innovative solution of modular seating, is described as follows:

“Imagine a wave rolling across the room, lighting up everything around it. It’s a compact, efficient and well-balanced product, designed by a younger generation adapting a hundred-year-old tradition. Exciting and intriguing, its bold colours are a breath of fresh air. The product reflects its multi-generational and global heritage, spanning more than 40 countries around the world. This diversity of influence lends the product a certain magical je ne sais quoi. More than just a piece of furniture, it opens up spaces, and can help you reimagine your whole living environment.”

The seating range designed by Charles Godbout, founder of Topo Design, starts with simple ottomans and benches that can be arranged in a linear or curved series, followed by endless possible configurations of single and double seats. Backrest panels, high and low, with short or long waves. These elements combine to create various patterns of sinusoidal curves, allowing space to be optimized, creating communal or private environments.

Great happiness and proud for the whole Altek Italia Design team who thanks the organizers for the prestigious award.
