About Philia
Philia is a desk that originated in the in-house design laboratory of Altek Italia Design. The idea behind it was to place a sturdy and durable wooden top on top of a simple rectangular metal structure. The choice of the name (which comes from the Greek for “love” or “friendship”) is dictated by Altek Italia Design’s penchant for creating furniture complements that are not only aesthetically beautiful but also practical. The structure of the Philia desk can be painted or chrome-plated as needed, and the wood veneer top is available in various finishes. In addition the desk is equipped with a practical hole for passing and keeping cables in order.
