Award for the best piece of furniture

Another important recognition for Altek Italia Design’s new “AirWave” collection, which was awarded as the best furniture item in the “contract and institutional” section during the Gala evening of the prestigious“Grands Prix du Design Awards” in Montreal on January 10.
The collection, designed by Charles Godbout of Topo Design, represents an innovative modular seating solution. Imagine a wave rolling across the room, illuminating everything around it. AirWave is a compact, efficient and well-balanced product designed by a young generation rooted in a century-old tradition. Enthusiastic and intriguing, its bold colors are a breath of fresh air. The product reflects its multi-generational and global heritage, giving the design a magical “je ne sais quoi.”

AirWave is not just a piece of furniture, but a solution that opens up spaces and can help reimagine the entire living environment. AirWave’s design embraces the balance of style, comfort, and versatility, making it suitable for all contract environments, including hotel lobbies, corporate offices, universities, and public halls.
The range of seating designed by Charles Godbout begins with simple ottomans and benches that can be arranged in a linear or curved series, followed by endless possible configurations of single and double seating. The backrest panels, high and low, with short or long waves, combine to create various patterns of sinusoidal curves, optimizing space and creating communal or private environments.
